Diving Plymouth on Scyllareefer

A lovely weekend diving in calm waters and good visibility for the season.  A weekend thoroughly enjoyed by us all staying and diving with  Scyllareefdivecharter with the skipper Steve on the boat Explorer and excellent weather on top of it all.  Good diving we all had and a memorable weekend with wishes to come back.

On Saturday we dived a broken up wreck at 27m with good visibility and balmy 9-10 degrees water temperature with a further shallower dive on an interesting small wreck and outcrop just outside the breakwater into Plymouth.  Sunday we had the pleasure of diving the HMS Scylla (a 130m long frigate that was sunk for divers to play with) and James Egan Layne a liberty ship that went down in 1945.  Both dives were good, but due to the James Egan Layne had been there for decades the marine life has just covered the wreck and parts of it is just like a Cathedral swimming through it.

A big thanks to William for organising the trip to Plymouth.
